yeglass Cloth for MACAM
Art has the power to change the way we see the world — and sometimes, it can even sharpen our literal vision. In collaboration with MACAM, we have developed an exclusive microfiber eyeglass cloth inspired by the work of Nadir Afonso, one of Portugal’s most celebrated modernist artists.
The chosen work, with its geometric rhythm, chromatic contrasts, and sense of movement, embodies Afonso’s unique artistic language. Translated into the cloth’s surface, these visual elements transform a functional accessory into a small canvas of modern art, ready to accompany daily life.
Soft, durable, and practical, the cloth is designed to care for glasses, lenses, and screens — yet it also carries with it the poetry of Nadir´s vision. It is a reminder that even the most ordinary gesture, like cleaning a pair of glasses, can be enriched with cultural meaning and aesthetic pleasure.
At Takemuseum, our mission is to bring heritage and design together in ways that feel relevant, beautiful, and enduring. With the MACAM and Nadir Afonso work as inspiration, this piece reflects how art can live not only in museums but also in the objects we use every day.
