We are excited to present this exclusive eyewear case, specially designed for the MACAM Museum, inspired by a vibrant work of Júlio Pomar that references the timeless spirit of Fernando Pessoa. This piece transforms a simple, everyday object into a canvas of creativity, connecting literature, art, and design in a single, functional form.

The design of the Eyewear Case draws from Pomar’s expressive brushstrokes and dynamic composition, using soft pink tones to evoke warmth, introspection, and poetic reflection. Subtle motifs hint at the presence of Pessoa, celebrating the literary and cultural heritage of Portugal while translating it into contemporary, tactile design. The Eyewear Case has an interplay between color, form, and texture creates a visual rhythm reminiscent of Pomar’s bold yet nuanced style, inviting both admiration and touch.

Crafted with attention to detail, this eyeglass case is both practical and elegant. Its structure protects eyewear while serving as a miniature artwork, bringing the energy of Pomar’s canvas into everyday life. Whether resting on a desk, inside a bag, or displayed as a design object, it is a conversation starter, a collector’s item, and a tribute to the intersection of art and poetry.

This Eyewear Case was entirely designed and produced by us at Takemuseum, in collaboration with MACAM Museum. Our goal was to reinterpret a cultural masterpiece into a contemporary object, maintaining the spirit and emotion of the original work while making it functional for daily life.

At Takemuseum, we believe that art and design should coexist seamlessly with everyday objects. By drawing inspiration from iconic artworks and literary figures, we create pieces that spark curiosity, celebrate creativity, and invite meaningful engagement with culture.
